SBA Lenders Provide Feedback on Paycheck Protection Program

WASHINGTON – Today, the House Committee on Small Business heard from lenders participating in the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program at a virtual forum.  Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access Ranking Member Kevin Hern (R-OK) led the conversation for Committee Republicans.

The panelists commended the Small Business Administration and Department of the Treasury for the rapid rollout of the Paycheck Protection Program and emphasized the overall success of the program for small businesses.  When asked about recommendations to improve the program, they requested additional clarity on loan forgiveness and liquidity requirements.
