House Small Business Committee Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) has released the following statement in response to the National Federation of Independent Businesses’ (NFIB) decision to challenge the legality of President Obama’s health care law:

“As Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee, I have heard from thousands of small business owners about the cascade of problems that President Obama’s health care law will create for workers and our economy.   It will raise health care premiums, hike taxes, stifle American innovation, and force employers to cut jobs and shutter businesses.  This law is government overreach of epic proportions, and the fight for its repeal will be nothing short of historic.

“Small businesses across the nation are united in their opposition to President Obama’s health care law, and today the NFIB has stood up on their behalf by joining twenty states in the lawsuit to challenge the law’s constitutionality.  I applaud the millions of small business owners who continue to voice their disapproval of this job-killing law, and commend the NFIB for helping to bravely lead the fight.”
